About Thrive

Physical therapy built around you.

Thrive was created with a simple idea: physical therapy should give people the time, attention, and personalized care they need to truly make progress.

After more than 30 years as a physical therapist, Dr. Patricia “Patty” Beers wanted to create a practice where she could work more closely with her patients, spend more time understanding the whole picture, and provide care that extends beyond the treatment table.

At Thrive, every patient works directly with Patty in longer, one-on-one sessions. Treatment is tailored to your body, your goals, and your life, with an emphasis on helping you understand what is happening and giving you the tools to take an active role in your own health.

Thrive Physical Therapy in Lake Nona, Orlando, Florida

Meet Patty

Patty is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist, and Certified Manual Therapist dedicated to helping active individuals move, recover, and thrive. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy in 1997 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, establishing a solid foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation. Driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, she went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Utica University in 2021.

Her passion for pelvic health began after the birth of her children. Navigating her own postpartum recovery and return to long-distance running revealed the crucial role pelvic floor health plays in athletic performance and everyday well-being. Today, she seamlessly integrates orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling, and pelvic floor rehabilitation to provide comprehensive, individualized care.

As an Air Force spouse, Patty has practiced in clinical settings across the country, collaborating with diverse medical teams and refining her clinical expertise along the way. That military journey ultimately brought her family to Lake Nona; a vibrant community she is proud to now call home. Beyond treating patients locally, she is deeply invested in giving back to the profession as a clinical instructor for PT students and a mentor to practicing physical therapists.

Outside the clinic, Patty practices what she preaches. As an avid long-distance runner and marathoner, she personally navigates the demands of training, injury prevention, and age-related performance shifts. Working through her own running challenges gives her firsthand empathy and practical insight, allowing her to guide her Lake Nona neighbors safely back to the activities they love.

Why Thrive?

Thrive isn't about simply getting you out of pain and sending you on your way.

It's about helping you understand your body, build strength and confidence, and develop the tools to keep moving well for the long term.

Whether you're navigating pelvic health concerns, recovering from pregnancy or injury, returning to running, or working to stay strong through the changes that come with aging, the goal is the same: to help you feel confident, capable, and in control of your health.

Because your physical health shouldn't be something you simply manage. It should help you live the life you want.

The Thrive Approach

Personalized care

You work directly with Patty at every visit. Your treatment is built around your individual needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Education

Understanding why something is happening can be just as important as treating it. Patty believes in giving patients the knowledge to better understand and care for their bodies.

Long-term health

The goal isn't just to feel better today. It's to give you the strength, confidence, and tools to keep moving well for years to come.

Real life

Your treatment should work in the context of your actual life. Whether that means running a marathon, getting through pregnancy, returning to exercise, or simply moving through your day without pain, your goals matter.
